Biography

I am a member of the Lummi Nation and a nationally recognized leader in the push toward establishing tribal broadband for Indigenous communities throughout the country. I have a background in philanthropy, policy, and governance and have spent most of my life in my tribal community, the Lummi Nation located in Washington State. I'm passionate about the protections and practices of sovereignty and self-determination for tribal communities and have an educational background in tribal economic development. I completed my Master of Public Administration at the University of Washington with an emphasis on Indigenous-focused policy.

When I am not lost in a book or writing in some form, I can be found exploring the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. I live in Bellingham, WA with my family and our dog Kwelen.
