News and Updates AsiaISOC @ APNG Camp 11The 11th APNG Camp was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 20-22 July 2009 with the theme “Value of Innovation with Asia Pacific Next Generation”. The agenda for Camp 11 is available here. Rajnesh Singh, ISOC Regional Bureau Manager, shared some perspectives on Multilingualism and the Internet. Slides from his presentation are available here. The APNG Camp brings together the next generation of Internet community leaders from the Asia Pacific region and exposes them to a range of activities and initiatives, and has now been running for eleven years. ISOC has been providing support to the APNG Camp for the last couple of years. The next APNG Camp is scheduled for Hiroshima, Japan in July 2010. 27 Jul 2009
INET Kuala LumpurThe Internet Society, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific IPv6 Task Force and the National Advanced IPv6 Centre of Excellence, organised a regional conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 20th, 2009. The conference, part of the Internet Society’s INET series of regional conferences, was focused on IPv6 with the theme “IPv6: The Next Step”.
