Asian Bureau 

The Internet Governance Forum held its 3rd meeting in Hyderabad, India from December 3rd to 6th. This was the only meeting scheduled to be in the Asia Pacific region, and provided an opportunity for greater regional participation.

The ISOC IGF Ambassador programme had 4 individuals from the greater Asia Pacific region, covering Fiji, Nepal, Korea and Sri Lanka. A cocktail reception was held for ISOC chapters and members at the Ista Hotel during the week. This provided good opportunities for members to mingle in a relaxed social environment.

ISOC was involved in a range of workshops during IGF, and also had a booth at the IGF Village which provided information on ISOC’s activities and programmes.
